Is there a warranty?

I do not offer a warranty however, any defaults you find on the chair within a month of delivery, will be honored.  The cost of shipping back will be your cost, however the second chair shipped, the cost of the shipping, I will pay for.  Any damage due to negligence or misuse of the chair, will be on the onus of the purchaser.  This includes scratches, broken legs on the Expedition, ripped pouch ect.

How hard is it to attach the seat to your canoe or paddle board?

The wide two sided Velcro straps allow quick installation on to with your cape or paddle board.  Usually it will take less than 5 minutes to put the seat on or on.

THE DAYTRIPPER CANOE SEAT

  • Unsnap the closure which holds the seat together and open up the seat.  pull apart the Velcro and slide the seat under the existing canoe seat making sure that you pull the DayTripper canoe seat forward to make sure that the DayTripper seat is in the most forward position.  Using the Velcro straps, under the doweling at the back of the seat and wrap them over the top of the existing canoe seat to secure tightly.  DO NOT WRAP THE VELCRO STRAP AROUND THE DOWELING AT THE BACK OF THE SEAT.  Then Paddle on

THE DELUXE DAYTRIPPER SEAT

  • Pull apart the Velcro straps.  Pull apart the two sided Velcro then with the seat in a closed position, put the Deluxe DayTripper canoe seat seat on top of the existing canoe seat and tightly wrap the two sided Velcro strap under the seat until it is securely held.  Unsnap the closure at the front of the chair to open up the seat.  Then paddle on.

THE EXPEDITION CANOE SEAT

  • Ensure the legs are well secured and folded into the underside of the seat before installing the seat to the canoe.  Pull apart the two sided Velcro, then with the seat in a closed position place the Expedition canoe seat on top of the existing canoe seat, tightly wrap the two sided Velcro strap under the seat until it is securely held.  Unsnap the closure at the front of the chair to open up the seat.  Then paddle on.

To extend the legs to convert the seat into a chair

  • Close and secure the Expedition Canoe seat in a closed position using the snap closure at the front of the chair.  Pull apart the secured Velcro from under the seat and remove the Expedition Canoe seat.  Under the seat are the 4 legs for the chair.  Undo the Velcro that holds the legs securely under the chair.  Untighten the black tightening knobs located on the side of the chair and extend the legs to a full position as far as they will go towards the frame of the chair.  VERY IMPORTANT…Now tighten the tightening knobs tightly to keep the leg in the most open position or the legs will collapse under weight or uneven ground.  Repeat for the remaining 3 legs then put the chair in the upright position on solid and level ground to make sure that when sitting on the chair it is not wobbly or unstable.  Although this chair has a weight rated of 260 LBS, please sit gently onto the chair as it might be on soft or unstable ground and it is not designed for sitting down in an abrupt way.  Before placing the Expedition seat back on the canoe make sure you ensure that the legs are folded into the underside of the seat and secured there tighty using the tightening knobs and the Velcro.

THE SUP / PADDLE BOARD SEAT

  • With the chair in a secured and closed position,  Place the chair in an upside position on the ground, with the pouch on the back of the chair on the ground.  Remove the Velcro straps from under the seat and extend the Velcro straps to full extension  on the ground.  Place the paddle board on top of the chair making sure that the seat is facing forward on the board and centered or positioned on the board for your comfort. Take one strap from both sides of the board that is closest to the front of the board and wrap around the paddle board tightly and securely.  Take the remaining two straps closest to the rear of the paddle board and again wrap tightly and securely.  Now the seat is securely on the board and once you are in the water, unsecure the snaps located at the front of the chair and open the chair to the sitting position.  Then paddle on.
How much does the seat weigh?
  • The DayTripper weighs 907 grams (less that 2 LBS)
  • TheDeluxe DayTripper with less than 3 LBS
  • The Expedition weighs 3.4 LBS
  • The SUP/Paddleboard seat weighs  3 LBS
What does MARINE GRADE MATERIAL mean?
  • The material in the pocket on the back of the seat, the webbing, the thread used in the stitching of the pocket the Varathane and Velcro used are all marine grade which simply means, waterproof/resistant, and UV rated against the sun’s damaging rays.  This is the same material used on boats or other marine items.  I use this to allow your seat to last for many years to come.

Do you sell these chairs in retail stores so I can see them in person?

I have in the past sold them in retail stores however, they would come at a much higher cost because they need to make a profit from the sales.  You could expect anywhere from $50 – 100 increase in the price.  FYI
